We collect information you provide directly to us when using MiVida:

Account Information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and preferred language.

Documents: When you upload documents for AI analysis, those files are processed and stored securely. You retain full ownership of your documents.

Reminders & Notes: Any reminders, notes, or personal records you create within the app.

Location Data: MiVida requests your device location only when you use the Community Resources, Map Explorer, or Safety Alerts features, and only for the purpose of finding and displaying nearby services relevant to your area. Specifically, we use your precise GPS location to: (1) show community resources — such as food assistance, shelters, healthcare clinics, immigration legal aid, ESL classes, and community centers — on an interactive map and in a sorted list by distance from you; (2) calculate the distance (in miles) from your current location to each resource so the closest help appears first; (3) prioritize community-submitted safety alerts that are near your area; and (4) recommend resources most relevant to your city or neighborhood. Location data is only collected while you actively use the app (foreground use only). We do not track your location in the background, and your precise location is not stored on our servers or shared with any third party. You can deny or revoke this permission at any time through your device settings — the app will still work if you manually enter a city or ZIP code.

Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with the app, including features used, pages visited, and session duration — to improve our services.

Voice Data: If you use Voice Translation, your audio is temporarily processed for transcription and immediately discarded after translation.
